My Cultural Timeline of the World continues:

2600 – 2000 BC

2560 BC — Great Pyramid of Giza* — The largest of the Giza pyramids was built by the Pharaoh Khufu (also known as Cheops). It was considered one of the original “Seven Wonders of the World” and was the tallest man-made structure on Earth for 3800 years (481 feet tall or 146.5 meters tall).  The tomb is composed of 2.3 million huge blocks of stone and took tens of thousands of workers almost 20 years to complete. *= UNESCO World Heritage Site

2500 BC — The Mammoth becomes extinct

2000 BC — The domestication of the horse
