It’s August and that means it’s time for thoroughbred racing at Saratoga Springs, NY. We have made an annual pilgrimmage to the spa for at least the last 17 years. We have donated to the Saratoga Springs economy and, once in a while, came home with a few extra bucks in our pockets. There are seven (7) of us who made the journey this year, as a result of Barbara’s death last fall. We arrived with high hopes for a delightful day of excitement and suspense.

We love the city of Saratoga Springs too. It’s more than the racing. A stroll down Broadway and into Congress Park is always part of the plan.
