                 185.  Avila, Spain — This charming medieval walled city is famous for its incredibly well-preserved fortifications and for St Theresa who was born and lived here.           184.  Kilkenny, Ireland — Visitors to this captivating city will find the best-preserved medieval buildings in Ireland. Notable attractions include the Town Hall, once the toll house, and Kilkenny Castle. (Walking Tour available for purchase on website)

          183.  Singapore — The “Lion City” is world-renowned for its adherence to strict laws. Do not even consider gum-chewing, or littering, or spitting here, for hefty fines are levied for these transgressions. The city itself is modern and prosperous.           182.  Sintra, Portugal — This city to the northwest of Lisbon was the summer retreat for Portuguese monarchs.           181.  Bratislava, Slovakia — Here is one of only a few undiscovered gems in Europe. Only 80 km (50 miles) from Vienna, it makes a great day trip from there.
