Although known primarily as the base of operations for cruises of the Li River, Guilin actually offers much more than that to the traveler. Located in south-central China, Guilin is famous for the incredible and classic Karst geology in the region. Don’t miss Guilin on your Chinese adventure for at least the following reasons:
1. Ancient glaciers left a myriad of pointed and rounded hills in the Li River valley. The topography is both unique and dynamic, creating an almost mystical place.
2. As one floats down the Li River, hundreds of different and unusual formations stimulate the imagination of travelers.
3. Reed Flute Cave is another attraction available to visitors to Guilin.
4. Seven Star Park is a wonderful city park which offers and escape from the busy city streets.
