Although known primarily as the base of operations for cruises of the Li River, Guilin actually offers much more than that to the traveler. Located in south-central China, Guilin is famous for the incredible and classic Karst geology in the region. Don’t miss Guilin on your Chinese adventure for at least the following reasons:
1. Ancient glaciers left a myriad of pointed and rounded hills in the Li River valley. The topography is both unique and dynamic, creating an almost mystical place.
