Monaco is one of the smallest of Europe’s “mini” countries, but it attracts thousands of visitors annually. People come here to admire the decadent wealth that is displayed daily (Monaco is one of the richest countries in the world) and to appreciate its wondrous setting along the French Riviera. Add Monaco to your French or Italian itinerary for at least the following reasons:
1. One of Monaco’s greatest draws is its casino. Monte Carlo could be the most elegant casino in the world. It is certainly one of the oldest.
2. “Spotless” is a term often applied to a description of the streets and sidewalks of Monaco. The elegant architecture enhances peoples’ impressions.
3. The Grimaldi family has ruled Monaco for many years. The current prince lives in a beautiful palace, high above the Mediterranean.
