Situated near the road the connects Florence to Siena, San Gimignano is one of the most pleasant of Tuscany’s Hill Towns to visit. Include this gem in your Tuscan holiday for at least the following reasons:
1. The main square of San Gimignano is known as the Piazza Cisterna.
2. San Gimignano is known for its many medieval towers, once a symbol of wealth and power.
3. San Gimignano is delightful to walk since the town is so small and compact. Cars are not allowed in the city center.
