When I was much younger, someone well-versed in the Signs of the Zodiac and the pseudo-science of Astrology told me that I was a Gemini with Cancer rising. I learned that this meant that I was born on the cusp (last few days or first few days) of my sign. The result was that I was influenced by both signs; I should have characteristics of Gemini’s and also of Cancer’s.

I do not believe in Astrology but I must say that perhaps there is some truth to the notion that I was born with “Cancer rising.” Maybe my cancer has been “rising” since my younger days and has now begun to fully express itself. I wonder if, over the years, I have also become more Cancer-like and less like a Gemini?
