Travel writer, Tim Cahill once stated,

 

           "A journey is best measured in friends, rather than miles."

 

         Mr Cahill could be speaking about life as well as travel, here. Certainly the people you meet and connect with in your travels create some of the most vibrant and lasting memories. Comraderie definitely eases the stress and strain of being in a foreign and unfamiliar country. Tim’s "friends" actually may be, simply, casual acquaintances. Even these fleeting encounters may increase the enjoyment of a trip.
