Travel Quotation 53 – Maya Angelou

Writer, singer, dancer, and African-American activist, Maya Angelou, once wrote,

"Human beings are more alike than unalike, and what is true anywhere is true everywhere, yet I encourage travel to as many destinations as possible, for the sake of education as well as pleasure."

This somehow says it all. Despite the sameness in people and cultures around the globe, this "Renaissance" woman believes that extensive travel adds much to our lives and our understanding.
