Often called the “Paris of the East,” Prague was spared much of the destruction of World War II and has arisen from behind the Iron Curtain as a major travel destination. It is a city of beauty and elegance, much like its Western Europe counterpart. Prague is a must-see destination for at least the following reasons:
1. St Vitus Cathedral dominates the castle district of the city.
2. Old Town Square is one of the most enchanting and lovely squares in all of Europe.
3. The world-famous Charles Bridge spans the Vltava River and connects the major tourist sections of the city.
4. Franz Kafka once lived and wrote on Golden Lane, in the castle district of Prague, in a tiny house.
