Why Go to Washington, DC?

Every tourist destination has it’s attractions. However, because every tourist is different, these attractions have greater or lesser value. Why go to Washington, DC?

To me, Washington, DC should be visited by every American sometime in his/her lifetime. The city is a celebration of all things American. Here visitors can remember their greatest heroes from American History; they can learn more about America’s greatest presidents; they can celebrate or mourn the significant wars that have involved Americans.

2. The Smithsonian is the world’s largest museum. The majority of its venues are in the city and deserve some time on everyone’s itinerary.

3. The very best thing about travel to Washington, DC is the fact that almost all the attractions are absolutely FREE! There are few other places in the world that can say that.
