Animals can be found around the world, in the wild, in captivity, and in our Art. This series will feature some of the animals that we have encountered in our travels around the world.

Kentucky is the state most associated with horses, especially thoroughbreds. Numerous breeders can be found here, raising the animals which will compete for the Triple Crown and other celebrated races.

The Kentucky Horse Park, in Lexington, is like a theme park dedicated to horses.

The various breeds are displayed in an exhibition-like show and differences between the animals are highlighted. On the grounds are several statues commemorating the achievements of some of the most famous thoroughbreds.
