Not all gardens feature plants as their primary mission. My favorite gardens in Colorado are found on the outskirts of Colorado Springs. Garden of the Gods is a state park which features gardens of sandstone rocks which have been sculpted over the years into phantasmagorical shapes.

These gardens are located near the base of Pike’s Peak and provide a gorgeous foreground for this iconic American mountain.
