Halifax is delightful! It is a small city which has retained its charm despite modernizing with the times. Shipping and fishing have long been its specialties, and they are still important industries. However, with greater mobility for the masses in the 21st Century, Halifax has embraced tourism and has become a major destination in Eastern Canada. Be sure to include Halifax in your Maritime Canada travel plans for at least the following reasons:
