The “dreamy spires” of Oxford England welcome visitors to this charming university town. Oxford is one of the world’s oldest and most prestigious universities. However, a stroll through the city center reveals that Oxford England is more than just its university. Stop in Oxford England during your trip to Great Britain for at least the following reasons:
1. The “Dreamy spires” refer to the many towers from the numerous colleges of the university.
2. One of the most significant buildings on the university campus is the Radcliffe Camera, built in the 1700s to house the science library.
3. As in Cambridge, the streets of Oxford England are dotted with elaborate gatesĀ as well as the regal buildings of the colleges themselves.
