Kansas City & West — Day 3 (Competition)

Today was spent primarily at the Sprint Center. We competed this morning at about  11 AM, and then watched the remainder of the Chorus Competition until tonight. I was extremely disappointed that we did not score higher, but we are still among the top 30 choruses in the world. The competition was incredible, with some of the best Barbershop singing I have ever heard.

As a result of the daylong competition, I have very little to report about Kansas City. I did manage to take a picture of an interesting sculpture, the “Crying Giant,” which sits outside the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art.

I also managed to finally take a picture of our hotel, the Aladdin, an Art Deco masterpiece which was once the tallest building in Kansas City.
