Yesterday I began my radiation program. Everything seemed innocuous enough. The procedure took only about 30 minutes and simply involved a large machine circling me while I lay there, keeping as still as possible.
When I returned home, I proceeded to take a 2-hour nap (I guess the procedure was more exhausting than it seemed). When I woke up, I proceeded to throw up, something I have not done but once since my cancer treatment began, 2 1/2 years ago. I promptly took a compazine and just rested for the rest of the evening. My supper consisted of two pieces of toast and a cup of tea.
I hope this will not be my routine for these ten (10) days. It was not a fun day!
