There are some good things that result when a person has cancer. For example, everyone feels badly for you. Friends and relatives call you up, always concerned about how you are feeling. They send cards — right now, I have about twenty (20) or so cards that I have received in the last few weeks from friends and relatives. The sentiments in the cards are wonderful and they make you feel good.
We have had many more visitors than we normally have, since I have been diagnosed with cancer. Just yesterday my sister and her husband stopped over, and, this morning, one of my daughters came by with two of my grandchildren for a visit. I am “living large” and enjoying all the attention.
