The White Mountains are one of New England’s premier vacation areas. People have flocked here for years to experience the cool mountain air in the summer time by hiking, to seek the exhilaration of skiing beautiful mountain trails in the winter, and to witness the colorful display of deciduous trees in the fall. Take a mountain hike along a scenic woodland trail to Arethusa Falls.
Take a scenic drive along the Kancamagus Highway which links North Conway with the town of Lincoln, on the western side of the mountains.
Appreciate the view from the top of Cathedral Ledge, just outside of North Conway.
Visit some of the areas Covered Bridges, like this one in the town of Jackson.
