Today is the always bitter-sweet return home. We have enjoyed our sojourn in the delightful countries of Scandinavia but we will both welcome the opportunity to return to the familiar environs of Cranston, Rhode Island.
With that in mind, we have the entire morning to prepare since we are not leaving the hotel until noon. We did return to Tivoli last night because we wanted to see the park lit with its 12,000 lanterns. However, the days are so long here that we returned to the hotel long before it was dark in Tivoli. We had a lovely meal at Grofton, a very nice restaurant within the park that serves classic Danish cuisine. I also managed to take some parting photos of the park with its lights on.
I also took this photo a bit later from our hotel room at approximately 9:30 PM.
Copenhagen is an exciting and interesting city. Travel here and throughout Scandinavia is easy for Americans since almost everyone speaks good English. Put Copenhagen on your Travel Bucket List!
