Now that Boston (right down the road from us) was being considered, albeit for a short time, for the 2024 Olympics, for the first time I might add, let’s take a look at the places where the Olympics have been held over the years.

2004 Summer Olympics — The Olympics returned to their origin (Athens) from August 13 till the 29th. All countries with Olympics committees participated. Highlights included Michael Phelps winning eight (8) gold medals in swimming. Also, for the first time since professional basketball players were allowed to compete, the United State finished fourth, losing to Puerto Rico in the Olympics semi-finals.
