Unfortunately, our trip is drawing to a close. However, because we are scheduled to take the red-eye, we had the majority of today to spend in Fairbanks. We decided to take a cab out to the Museum of the North, on the University of Alaska, Fairbanks campus. It was a great choice. The museum is fantastic, combining fine arts, native crafts, natural history, Alaskan history, and creative film-making to render a true and realistic portrait of this incredible state. We were awed over and over again as we juggled exhibits and films over a three (3) hour period. If you factor in the amazing architecture of the museum building itself, we were immersed for that time in a total experience. What a fantastic way to culminate an unbelievable trip!!
If you have not already done so, go to Alaska!
