Rocky Mountain National Park, west and northwest of Denver, Colorado, offers spectacular mountain scenery and a variety of outdoor activities to visitors. The main park road is Trail Ridge Road which begins in Estes Park and ends at Grand Lake. The road reaches an elevation of 12,183 feet and is closed in the winter. A visit to Rocky Mountain National Park should include at least the following:
1. Views along Trail Ridge Road feature the epitome of mountain scenery.
2. Mountain Lakes present an idyllic scene.
